Lucas Bullens (b. 1990) is a Swiss born artist and curator based in London, specialising in the medium of photography.

His practice revolves around exploring the transcendental. Using the camera as an instrument, he seeks to extract the immaterial buried within the material. Interested in folkloric frameworks and notions of non-duality - his works often plays with the abstraction of forms found in the natural world. The mostly monochromatic scenes he presents are an intricate reflection of the spaces he feels and sees around him.

Earning an MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art in 2022, Bullens is an award winning artist and an associate lecturer with the UAL, London.

Recent group and solo exhibitions include “Zygote”, Culterim Gallery, Berlin; “Format Festival 24”, Quad, Derby; “Through the Looking Glass”, Mall Galleries, London; “The Presence of Absence”, NoFormat Gallery, London; “After the Waiting Room”, Copeland Gallery, London; “RCA 2022”, Royal College of Art, London; “If a bear falls…”, Greenwich 187, London.
